Identifying Joint Employer and Independent Contractor Issues

Many employers use temporary staffing agencies and/or independent contractors in addition to their regular direct employees. While these roles can sometimes serve a necessary and beneficial purpose including reduction of costs, there are a number of potential legal pitfalls when use of these workers is not properly implemented. This webinar highlighted various red flag issues that can lead to joint employer liability and liability for misclassification of independent contractors under federal and state laws.
